My first ever game – Wurdz – is now available on the apple app store. Being my first game I picked something not too challenging programming wise – a word puzzle game. Still it is surprising how much work and testing goes into even a simple game. Wurdz took one week of development time to write, bug test, and complete. A good proportion of that was the artwork. I’m not a graphic artist! But I didn’t want to contract it out so I spent a lot of time doing my own.
Wurdz integrates with Game Center, iAds, and In-App payments (for users who might want to buy additional tile refreshes). I’m interested to see how well each of these technologies works within an app.
